Country Style Pork Ribs

3 lbs country-style pork ribs
2 tsp coarse sea salt (or kosher salt - more or less to taste)
2 tsp light brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp sweet paprika (or smoked paprika)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper (more or less to taste)
1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 250°F.
Add the coarse sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, sweet paprika, and brown sugar to a small bowl and mix well to combine the seasonings.
Season the ribs liberally with the dry rub.
Place the seasoned ribs in a baking dish or on a foil lined sheet pan fatty side up.
Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it on the center rack of the preheated oven. Cook the ribs for 2 - 2 ¼ hours or until a meat thermometer reads 195-205 degrees F.
Remove the pan from the oven and very carefully remove the foil covering from the pan.
Give the ribs a generous coating of barbecue sauce and return the ribs to the oven uncovered for another 30 minutes.If you like a crisp caramelized exterior, place the ribs under the broiler for 3-5 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the oven and brush with barbecue sauce.
