Pancake Sausage Casserole

1 roll (1 lb) sausage
2 ½ cups pancake mix
Milk (enough to reach desired consistency)
1 cup Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup (or any maple syrup)
Directions
Cook the Sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it into crumbles.
Drain excess grease and set aside.
Prepare the Batter:
In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix and milk, adjusting until the batter reaches your preferred consistency (smooth and pourable).
Stir in 1 cup of syrup until well combined.
Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the pancake batter into a greased baking dish.
Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the top.
Bake:
Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the top is golden brown, about 25-30 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean).
Serve:
Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Optionally, drizzle with extra syrup for added sweetness!
