Wild Rice With Mushrooms And Almonds

Ingredients

8 tbsp butter

1 ⅓ cup uncooked wild rice, washed

4 tbsp slivered almonds

4 tbsp chopped onion

2 can (4 ounces) mushrooms stems and pieces

4 cup chicken broth

Directions

PRHEAT: Bake to 325 Cover and bake until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender about 1 1/2 hours.

1. Melt butter in 10 inch skillet; cook and stir rice, almonds and onion until almonds are golden brown, about 10 minutes.

2. Stir mushrooms ( with liquid ) and chicken broth into skillet; heat to boiling. Pour rice mixture into un greased 3 quart casserole.
