4 slices bacon, diced
1 ( 1 -lb 11 oz. ) can sauerkraut
1 head cabbage, chopped
1 large onion, diced
1 tbs. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1 /2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions
1. In small skillet, cook bacon, savings drippings.
2. In slow-cooking pot, combine sauerkraut, cabbage, onion, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper.
3. Pour cooked bacon and drippings over all and cook on low for 3 to 5 hours. Makes 8 servings
