1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 T. oil
2 lbs. ground beef
2 cans mushroom soup, undi-
luted
1 cup uncooked regular rice
1 cup bean sprouts with liquid
1 flat can water chestnuts,
drained and sliced
1/4 cup of water
4 T. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. frozen pea pods
1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
Serves 12
Directions
• Sauté onions and celery in oil
for 5 minutes. Add ground
beef and brown. Add mush-
room soup, rice, bean sprouts
with liquid, chestnuts, soy
sauce, salt and pepper.
• Bake in 3 1/2 quart covered
casserole dish for 30 minutes,
at 350º. Add pea pods, thawed
enough to separate, and top
with noodles. Bake uncovered for 30 min more.
