Refrigerator Rolls (Grandma Ruth)

Ingredients

1 cup shortening

3/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cakes of yeast

6 cups shifted flour or more

1 cup scalded milk

2 eggs beaten

1 cup of warm water

Directions

Dissolve yeast in warm water.

Pour scalded milk over shortening. Add sugar and salt and let cool.

Add eggs, then yeast. Combine with flour. Cover and refrigerate at least four hours. Will keep for a week.

Let rise punch down and shape into rules and let rise again until double.

Bake at 375° to 350° for 25 to 30 minutes

Top with 3 teaspoons of cinnamon to 1 cup of sugar
