Stuffed Pasta Shells

Ingredients

1 (12 oz. ) box jumbo pasta shells

1 pound. ground beef

1/2 teaspoon onion salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

3 teaspoons sweet basil

3/4 cup minced onion

3 slices day old bread, cubed

1 (16 ox) jar prepared spaghetti sauce or make your own

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1/4 cup Romano cheese, grated

1/2 lb. cubed mozzarella cheese

1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350. Cook jumbo pasta shells al dente.

• Brown ground beef with next 4 ingredients. Add minced on- ion, cooking until just tender. Remove from heat. Add bread

cubes. Mix thoroughly. Add

1/4 cup spaghetti sauce. Mix.

Allow mixture to cool slightly; then add Parmesan and

Romano cheese, mixing thor- oughly.

• When mixture is cooled, add mozzarella cheese and egg. Mix. Fill cooked shells with the beef cheese mixture. Put a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of 9X 13 inch pan. Place shells in pan using sauce between layers. Bake for 30 minutes. (6-8 servings) This is from an Italian friend Fran that I work with at Hudson's.
