DESSERTS Easy Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

– 2 • 8 ounce cans crescent rolls

– 4 medium granny Smith apples

– 2 sticks salted butter

– 1 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla

– 1 teaspoon cinnamon

– 1 1/2 cup 7-Up or Sprite

Directions

– Preheat oven to 350°

– Butter a 13 x 9 baking dish

– Peel and core apples. Slice each one into 8 to 12 slices.

– Roll 2 to 3 slices, depending on thickness into each crescent roll

– Melt butter on stove, top and mix in brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

– When it thickens remove and pour over dumplings.

– Poor soda around (NOT ON TOP OF) dumplings.

– Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until the rules become golden brown.

***TIP - serve with vanilla ice cream***
