Earl Grey Chocolate Chip Cookies

140g brown sugar
40g caster sugar
140g unsalted butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
165g plain flour
180g dark chocolate
1 earl grey tea bag
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
a pinch of salt
Directions
1) preheat your oven to 350°F, with a stovetop hob on medium heat to brown the butter
2) weigh out your sugars into a mixing bowl
3) melt and brown your butter on the stovetop
4) allow the butter to cool slightly before mixing in with the sugars
5) add in the egg and vanilla extract, mix well
6) fold in the flour, earl grey tea, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt and chocolate until fully combined.®
7) roll into balls of your desired size, and bake for 10-15 minutes, banging the pan on the side every so often (for crinkly edges)
8) optionally top with flaky sea salt, and enjoy!!
