Southern Sticky Chicken Will Never Leave Your Dinner Rotatio

4 (14-oz. each) chicken leg quarters, thighs and drumsticks split, trimmed of excess fat
2 tsp. kosher salt
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp. lower sodium soy sauce
3 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped (about 1 Tbsp.)
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. smoked paprika
2 Tbsp. cold unsalted butter
Hot cooked white rice and steamed broccoli
Sliced scallions, for garnish

Cook chicken until skin is golden brown: Preheat oven to 425°F. Sprinkle chicken on both sides with salt. Place chicken, skin side down, in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet. Cook over medium-high, undisturbed, until skin is golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes (chicken will not be fully cooked).
Stir together sauce: While chicken cooks, whisk together honey, ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, Worcestershire, vinegar, and smoked paprika in a medium bowl. Set aside, uncovered, until ready to use.
Add sauce and butter to skillet: Pour honey mixture over chicken; add butter to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, turning chicken to coat with honey mixture, until butter is melted, about 30 seconds.
Bake chicken: Arrange chicken skin side up and transfer skillet to preheated oven. Bake in preheated oven until a thermometer inserted into thickest portion of chicken registers 175°F and honey mixture thickens, 14 to 16 minutes, stirring and basting chicken with honey mixture halfway through bake time. Serve with rice and broccoli, if desired. Garnish with sliced scallions.
