Creamy Floriani Red Flint Polenta

1 cup Belden Barns Floriani Red Flint Polenta
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons butter
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Instrucțiuni
Bring 5 cups water to a boil in heavy-bottomed pot. Add salt and then whisk in polenta.
Turn heat to low and cook at bare simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hr. or until it reaches desired consistency. (Add more water if gets too thick.)
Turn off heat. Add grated Parmesan cheese, butter, and salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with your favorite topping, a drizzle of olive oil and extra Parmesan cheese.
Note
You don't have to stir this polenta constantly. Give it a stir, make sure the heat is low and it's at a bare simmer, and then just check back intermittently to stir it again.
This polenta pairs wonderfully with greens, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes or a rustic lamb stew. Check out our topping suggestions.
