Bekah’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

1 stick butter, softened (½ cup)

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

½ cup oil (I usually use melted coconut oil, but you can use vegetable)

1 tsp. Baking powder

1 tsp. Baking soda

1 tsp. Salt (I use coarse kosher and it gives it that extra oomph)

1 tsp. Vanilla (can use imitation but real vanilla is *chef's kiss*)

3 cup flour

112-oz bag of chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

Cream butter and sugar (sometimes I'll brown the butter beforehand, but not necessary). Add oil, then eggs one at a time. Stir in baking soda, powder, salt and vanilla. Mix well, then add flour one cup at a time. Lastly add chocolate chips.

Bake at 350° for about 9-10 minutes, depending on how gooey you want them. Eat as much cookie dough as you like. Makes about 24 cookies, depending on how much dough is consumed.

KEY FACTOR: Using an ice cream scoop or cookie scoop, scoop cookies onto cookie sheet. The more you use your hands, the more you're messing with that butta. Handle less. Refrigerate dough for a bit beforehand even, if you have time.
