    Banana Cream Pie

    Ingredienser

    5 tablespoons cornstarch

    1 cup sugar

    ¼ teaspoon salt

    2 ½ cups milk

    ¾ cup half and half

    3 egg yolks

    2 tablespoons butter

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 Pillsbury pie crust (red box)

    4 bananas

    Vejledning

    1. Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt, milk, and half and half in a saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until thick and bubbly.

    2. Put egg yolks in a bowl and add a small amount of the hot mixture to the yolks. Return yolk mixture to the saucepan, stirring rapidly. Remove from heat.

    3. Add butter and vanilla.

    4. Place cooked pie crust in a pie pan. Slice bananas and place on the bottom of the pie crust. Pour mixture over bananas and chill.
