This is not the classic recipe, but I wanted to give it a twist using pork, and with an Asian sauce, and it was amazing! I dare to say that it is better than the traditional ones!! 🤪

Ingredients for 4 people

1 large cabbage

1 lb minced pork

2 cups cooked brown rice

1 large carrot, shredded

Green Onion

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp ground chili pepper

1/2 tsp ground cumin

Salsa

5 Tbsp of soy sauce

3 Tbsp of rice vinegar or alcohol

1 tsp honey

1/3 cup of water

Instrucciones

For the filling

Slice the white bottoms and green tops of the green onions

Add the olive oil to the pan

Once the oil is hot add the white bottoms of the green onions and cook for 1 min

Add the ground pork and cook until it is slightly browned

Stir in the salt, pepper, cumin and ground chili

Add 3/4 of the green tops of the green onions and carrots cook a bit more until the carrots are tender

Add the rice

Finish the wraps

Peel the cabbage carefully to get the leaves

Put the cabbage leaves in a pot of boiling water and cook about 7 min until it becomes translucent

Add the filling to the cabbage and place the filled cabbage in a frying pan

Pour the sauce over the cabbage and cook until it starts to turn brown

Serve topped with the remaining green onion tops
