17 ½ oz (500g) Cubed top round beef
4oz chopped Carrots
8oz chopped Potato- or radish
4oz slices shiitake Mushroom
4oz chopped Onions
Green onions
Sesames seeds
Marinade:
3 tbsp (45mL) low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp (7g) Sesame oil
2 tbsp (20g) minced garlic
1 onion
3/4th cup water
2tsp Ginger powder or fresh ginger
1 ½ tbsp (20mL) sugar free maple syrup
Pinch Black Pepper
Instrucciones
In a bowl, put in your beef and fill it with cold water to drain out impurities/blood
Drain it after 30 minutes to an hour
In a blender, blend your marinade ingredients together while waiting for your beef
When ready, drain your beef and put it in a pot.
Put your pot on the stove and turn it to low heat.
Immediately add in your marinade
Simmer for 20 minutes
After 20 minutes, add in potatoes and carrots. Simmer for 20 minutes again on low.
Then add in your onions and mushroom and simmer for an extra 10 minutes. The longer you simmer the more tender your beef will be.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds
