1 TABLESPOON CANOLA OIL, PLUS MORE FOR BRUSHING

½ POUND GROUND BEEF

½ CUP FINELY CHOPPED ONION

½ TEASPOON SALT (OPTIONAL) FRESHLY GROUND BLACK PEPPER

30 WONTON WRAPPERS, DEFROSTED IF FROZEN

1 CUP SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE (2 OUNCES)

Instrucciones

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line two rimmed baking sheets

2 Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, onion, salt (if using), and pepper to taste. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until the beef

Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean work surface and set a small bowl of water nearby. Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of the beef mixture in the center of the wrapper. Add a few strands of grated cheese. Dip your finger in the water and dab the water across the edges of the wonton. Fold one corner of the wonton over to form a triangle and press the edges together with your fingers to seal. Transfer the wonton to the prepared bak- ing sheet and repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Brush each wonton with a little canola oil and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown, turning once.

• Cool and serve whole or cut into pieces. If the corners are especially crispy, break them off before serving to baby.
