Fire and Ice Salad

6 large ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
Dressing:
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp sugar
3/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 tsp celery seed
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 tsp mustard seed
To serve:
1 avocado, cut into wedges
1 cucumber, sliced
Instructions
Combine dressing ingredients in a pot and boil for 1 minute. Pour over tomatoes, onion, and pepper. Chill overnight. Add avocado and cucumber before serving.
