Green Bean Casserole

1 stick butter
1/2 package mushrooms
1 chopped onion
2 minced cloves garlic
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
8 cans green beans, drained
1 package mushroom gravy mix
Instructions
Sauté mushrooms, onion, and garlic in butter until onions are soft. Stir in flour and cook for about one minute. Gradually add milk and half and half, stirring until thickened. Add green beans and mushroom gravy mix, stirring to coat. Top with fried onions if desired and bake until heated through.
