Gingerbread Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Beat together shortening, sugar, and molasses. Beat in eggs.
2. Mix together the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl, then add to sugar and egg mixture.
3. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
4. Frost if desired.
