    Aunt Joy's Sugar Cookies

    Ingrédients

    3/4 Cup Shortening or Margarine (she uses margarine)

    T Cup Sugar

    2 eggs

    1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 teaspoon lemon (she uses vanilla)

    2 1/2 cups flour

    1 tsp baking powder (she uses a tiny bit more)

    1 tsp salt

    Instructions

    1. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and flavoring thoroughly. Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt. Chill at least a few hours or overnight.

    2. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured countertop. Cut out shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake 4-8 minutes or until very light brown.
