Breakfast Casserole

4 slices of bread, any kind
1 lb sausage (bulk or links)
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Egg mixture:
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tsp dry mustard (optional)
1 tsp salt
Dash pepper
Instructions
1. Tear up bread and place in a greased 9x13 dish.
2. Brown and drain sausage. If using links, cut into slices.
3. Spoon sausage over bread, then sprinkle with cheese.
4. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour over mixture in baking dish.
5. Bake in 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
6. Serve warm. May be made the night before, covered, and refrigerated, then baked in the morning.
