Foolproof Pie Crust

4 cups white flour
1 3/4 cups shortening
1 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
1 egg
1/2 cup water
Instructions
Mix flour, sugar, salt, and shortening. In another bowl, combine remaining ingredients, then mix just until moistened. Divide into 5 portions and roll out. Dough can be refrigerated for 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
