    Italian Spaghetti

    1 med-large onion, chopped

    1 clove garlic, minced

    1 lb ground beef

    1 c celery, diced

    1/2 c green pepper, chopped

    1/2 c green olives, chopped

    1 3 oz can sliced mushrooms

    1 8 oz can tomato sauce

    1 6 oz can tomato paste

    Salt and pepper

    1 lb Spaghetti noodles

    Fresh Parmesan cheese, grated

    Petunjuk

    1. Brown ground beef in large skillet or Dutch oven. (or in microwave- Mary Hart -style).

    2. Add onions, garlic and cook until translucent.

    3. Add celery, green pepper, olives, mushrooms, tomato sauce and tomato paste.

    4. Simmer 15-30 min. Add water as desired for a thinner sauce.

    5. Prepare spaghetti noodles and serve with sauce and Parmesan cheese.

    Catatan

    Beloved Hart family meal passed down from Lorraine Hart’s kitchen. This is clearly a 1950’s Midwest interpretation of an Italian recipe. We always get a kick out of the emphasis on “Italian” in the recipe name.
