    2 tsp Cooking oil

    2/3 c Chopped onion

    1/3 c Grated carrot

    1 Garlic clove, minced (or 1/4 tsp., 1 mL, powder)

    1/2 tsp Dried oregano

    1/2 tsp Dried marjoram

    6 cups Prepared chicken broth

    1/4 c Tiny pasta (such as alphabet or orzo)

    1 1/2 c Chopped cooked chicken

    1 cup Diced seeded tomato

    2 tbsp Lime juice

    1 tbsp Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

    1/2 tsp Hot pepper sauce (optional)

    Fremgangsmåte

    Heat cooking oil in large saucepan on medium. Add next 5 ingredients.

    Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened.

    Add broth. Bring to a boil. Add pasta. Cook, covered, for about 10 minutes

    until pasta is tender but firm.

    Add chicken and tomato. Stir. Cook for about 2 minutes until heated through.

    Stir in remaining 3 ingredients. Makes 8 cups (2 L).
