2 cups dill pickle slices
1/2 cup flour
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon oregano
Pinch of kosher salt
Pinch of black pepper
1 large egg
1/2 cup whole wheat seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
ranch dressing (optional, or other dipping sauce)
Directions
Drain the pickles and lay them out onto a few clean paper towels to dry them out. Pat them with another clean paper towel so they are nice and dry.
Add the flour to a medium size mixing bowl and season it with a little bit of salt and pepper, the garlic powder, onion powder and oregano and mix it up.
In a separate mixing bowl, crack the eggs and lightly whisk them. Combine the breadcrumbs and parmesan in a separate shallow bowl.
Dip each pickle slice in the flour, then in the egg, then in the breadcrumb mixture and lay them onto a clean plate. Continue until you have breaded all of the pickles.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and spray the basket with olive oil spray.
Working in batches, lay some of the breaded pickles into the air fryer basket in an even layer and cook them for 8-10 minutes. Continue until you have cooked all of the pickles.
Serve with homemade ranch dressing.
