1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions
Here's how to make it:
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Stir well to combine.
Spread the batter into a parchment paper-lined loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove the brownies from the pan and let them cool.
Cut into squares.
Notes
You can use sweetened or unsweetened applesauce for this recipe. If you like less sweet desserts or can't eat sugar, use unsweetened.
You could stir some chocolate chips into the batter before baking.
Store the brownies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
