Nashville Hot Honey Chicken

For the meat:
4-5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 cup milk
Juice of 1/4 lemon
1/2 cup flour
1 TBSP starch
1 TBSP hot sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 cups breadcrumbs (can use gluten free)
Sauce:
1/2 cup regular butter
3 TBSP hot honey
11/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or you can do 2
tsp for hotter)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
Directions
Chop up chicken into bite sized pieces.
Combine buttermilk, flour, starch, hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until combined and smooth to create a batter.
To another bowl add the breadcrumbs, dip each piece of chicken into the batter
Then into the breadcrumbs, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Repeat this with all of the chicken then bake at 450F tor 35 minutes.
In the last ten minutes of baking, start to create the sauce. Add the butter to a pan on medium-low heat and stir until fully melted.
Add in the hot honey and stir. Then add in all of the seasonings and continue stirring for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens up.
Once the chicken is done baking and the sauce has thickened, add in the chicken and stir until all of the bites are fully coated in the sauce.
Top with chopped parsley and serve with ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing.
