Mom’s Pretzel Jello

3 - 8oz cream cheese
1 c sugar
2 2/3 c broken pretzel sticks (I use pulse in blender)
1 c butter, melted
1 - 8oz cool whip
1 - 6oz pkg strawberry jello
2 c pineapple juice
1 lg pkg frozen, sliced strawberries w/ sugar added
Directions
Cream cream cheese & sugar. Set aside.
Mix pretzels and butter. Place in bottom of 9x13” baking dish. Bake @ 400 for 10 min
Cool slightly. Spread cream cheese mix over lukewarm crust.
Spread cool whip on cream cheese and cool.
Dissolve jello in boiling pineapple juice. Stir in strawberries and allow to thicken almost to jelled point. Spread over cool topping and refrigerate.
Remove from fridge approx 1/2 hr before serving to keep pretzel crust from crumbling
