    Easy Dinners

    One-Pot Basil Pasta Recipe by Tasty

    Ingredients

    ¼ onion, finely chopped

    2 cloves garlic, crushed

    ½ cup baby plum tomatoes, halved, or regular tomatoes, chopped into small pieces

    ⅓ cup chopped fresh basil, plus a few sprigs to decorate

    ⅓ cup Chopped fresh parsley

    5 oz linguine, or spaghetti

    salt, to taste

    pepper, to taste

    1 pinch red pepper flakes

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    2 ½ cups cold water

    parmesan cheese, to garnish

    Directions

    Add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, basil, parsley, linguine, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, olive oil, and water to a large pot. Cook over a high heat for 2 minutes, submerging the pasta into the water once it’s soft enough.

    Reduce the heat to medium-low, tossing and stirring continuously until the liquid reduces down into a thick sauce.

    Serve the pasta topped with Parmesan and more basil.
