Ingredients

6 Tbsp butter

16 oz miniature marshmallows

6 cups crispy rice cereal

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats: Doubled recipe/6; Each layer/color:

2 Tbsp butter

5 1/3 oz miniature marshmallows

2 cups crispy rice cereal

1/6 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Directions

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.

Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well combined. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly.

Add vanilla and salt.

Remove from heat.

Stir in cereal until well coated.

Press mixture evenly and firmly into a buttered 9x13-inch pan using a buttered spatula or waxed paper.

Cut into 2-inch squares when cool.
