Kathryn’s Gramma Clam Linguini

16 oz. linguini
1/3 cup (~5.3 tbsp) olive oil
1/4 cup (4 tbsp) butter
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp. sait
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp oregano
2 cans 7 1/2 oz. minced clams drained and reserved liquid
3 tbs. Chopped parlsey
1/2 cup grated parmesean cheese if desired
Directions
Boil water for linguini
Heat olive oil with butter
Add garlic, sautee gently for 2 minutes
Add salt, oregano, basil, and pepper, plus reserved clam liquid. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes
Add clams and heat well. Once done, add linguini.
Serve with parsley and cheese
Notes
Sauce tightens up in the pan, make sure to save some pasta water to loosen it back up, just in case
