Cookie Dough Brownies

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
FROSTING:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
3 tbs milk
1 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
1. Brownies:Melt chocolate chips and cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in melted chocolate. Combine flour, and baking soda; add to batter. Stir in walnuts. Spread into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 350 for 16 -22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool.
2. Frosting:Cream the butter, sugars, and milk together. Mix in the flour until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread on top of cooled brownies. Keep any left overs in the refrigerator. OR pour a thin layer of melted chocolate over the top like they do at Whole Foods.

From Carrie: I made these with the Ghiradelli brownie mix that has the hot fudge sauce AND chocolate chips. They were delicious! I followed the frosting recipe as shown above.
