Boiled Eggs and Soldiers

1-2 eggs per person
1-2 slices bread – for toast
butter or spread
Directions
Put egg(s) in a saucepan and cover with cold water, place on the element and heat until the water starts to boil. Turn the element off. Leave the pot on the stove.
Set the timer to cook just the way you like them; As a guide, 3 – 4 minutes for runny eggs, 5 – 6 minutes for soft eggs, and 8 – 9 minutes for hard boiled eggs.
Toast the bread slices. Spread butter or margarine, and cut into thin strips to make the ‘soldiers’.(approx 4-5 per slice)
Serve in egg cups with toasted soldiers.
