Spanish Rice

1/4 Cup Vegetable oil (see note)
1 Med Onion, chopped
1/2 Med Bell pepper, chopped
1 Lb Ground beef
1 1/2 Cup Rice
1 Can Tomato sauce (16 oz)
1-3/4 Cups Hot water
1 Tsp Salt
Pepper
Directions
Heat oil, add ground beef, onions & green pepper; saute over medium heat until brown. Add rice, tomato sauce and water, mix well. Salt & pepper to taste. Bring to boil, cover and turn down heat and simmer for 25 minutes.
Notes
Oil is not necessary unless the beef is extra lean.
