½ cup Broken Rice
4 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Jaggery
3 cup Water
1 cup Hot Water
5 Cardamom Pod powdered
¼ cup Coconut grated
5 Cashews broken (Optional)
Directions
Soak jaggery in hot water and set aside.
In a pot, add washed broken rice and 3 cup of water and cook it until soft.
In another pot, bring jaggery syrup to boil. Ensure all jaggery is fully dissolved.
Then add cooked rice and stir continuously until payasam start to thicken.
Add cardamom powder, coconut, cashew and continue stirring.
Once coconut is mixed and coconut, add ghee 1 tbsp at a time.
Continue stirring until ghee is melted and mixed well.
Rest payasam for 10 minutes.
Ready to serve.
