Rolled Sugar Cookies (From Lois)

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, softened.

I cup white sugar

2 eggs

1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

2 ½ c all-purpose Flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, (200 degrees c).

2. Cream together butter and sugar

3. Mix in eggs and vanilla

4. Mix in dry ingredients

5. Cover and chill for 1-12 hrs

6. Roll out dough on floured Surface (1/4-1/2 inch thick). Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter.

7. Place Cookies linch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

8. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely before frosting

Notes

These are good to cut into shapes because they keep shape well. They are not as soft and fluffy as Jacqueline’s recipe.
