Chicken Caruso and Rice

2 whole chicken breast ( about •
1 1/2 skinned, boned, and cut in thin strips
Garlic salt and pepper
3 T. butter or margarine
1 jar (15 1/2 oz. Ragu sauce) or something similar)
1 can (med.) tomatoes (slightly mashed or cut up)
Sugar or sweetener to taste (optional)
1 tsp. Italian seasoning or sprinkle with sweet basil and oregano
2 cups sliced celery
1 - 2 cans mushrooms
Parmesan cheese
Hot, cooked rice
Directions
Season chicken with garlic salt and pepper - Sauté in butter about 2 minutes
Stir in spaghetti sauce, toma- toes, sugar and Italian season- ing - Cover and simmer 10 minutes
• Add celery and mushrooms - continue cooking
• Until celery is tender crisp
• Serve over rice- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired.
