MAIN DISH Linguini And Clams

– 1/4 pound butter
– 1 medium, diced onion
– 1 1/2 cups fresh, Italian parsley, chopped
– 1 tablespoon oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 4 cans • 6 1/2 ounces minced clams with juice.
– 1/4 cup, Marcella wine
– 12 ounces bottled clam juice
– 1 pound linguine
– 1/4 cup olive oil
– 10 cloves of minced garlic
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1/2 teaspoon basil
Directions
– In a large pot, over medium heat, melt butter
– Add olive oil, onion, and garlic. Cook until soft.
– Add oregano, Basil and cayenne. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
– Add wine. Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
– Add clam juice from cans and bottle juice. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
– Add clams, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 minutes.
– Add parsley. Simmer five minutes.
– Add all to cook linguine noodles. Simmer 15 minutes.
