1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup almond flour
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt
2 tbsp sesame oil (this adds an authentic flavor, but if you don’t have you could use olive oil!)
6 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
6 tbsp honey
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Set the oven to 400 degrees.
Combine the ground turkey, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a bowl.
Roll the ground turkey mixture into balls. The mixture should make 12 meatballs.
Place the meatballs on a parchment paper or foil lined baking tray.
Bake for 15-18 minutes. I would just check one of the meatballs to make sure they are cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking combine the tamari, sesame oil, honey, and garlic powder in a pan on medium heat.
Remove the meatballs from the oven and place in the pan.
Simmer the meatballs in the sauce. Flip the meatballs after a few minutes. Continue to simmer until the meatballs are browned and crisped to your liking and the sauce has thickened a little!
I recommend serving with brown jasmine rice and some stir fry vegetables. Enjoy!
