SOY GLAZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS:

1lb (2 cups) Brussels Sprouts, (halved, roasted)

2 Tbsp Canola Oi

1/4 cup Bacon, quarter sliced

1/4 cup soy glaze

1 Tbsp Scallions (bias cut)

Salt and Pepper to taste

Soy Glaze (yield 1 pint):

1 1/2 cups Hoisin Sauce

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp Honey

1 Tbsp Garlic Sambal (Garlic Chili Sauce)

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

1/4 Water

Combine in mixing bowl. mix well. Store refrigerated

Directions

1. Prior to serving, preheat oven to 400 °F. Lightly coat cut Brussels sprouts with | Tbsp. oil, and season with salt and peppe Roast in 400 degree oven 10-15 minutes, or until they begin to look nicely roasted and browned. Brussels sprouts should be slightly soft to the touch, but still be firm overall

2. Remove roasted Brussels sprouts from oven and reserve for serving.

3. Add remaining Tbsp. oil to sauté pan on medium high heat and add bacon. Sauté until bacon is lightly browned and not crispy. Remove bacon from pan, but leave bacon fat and oil in pan.

4. Add roasted Brussels sprouts to pan, and toss gently. Cook 4-5 minutes until fully cooked through.

5. Add bacon and Soy Glaze. Toss and sauté until evenly coated and hot, approx. 30 seconds.

6. Place in warm serving dish and garnish with sliced scallions.

7. Garnish with fresh, bias-cut scallion.
