Ingredients

1 1/2 cup currants, raisins, chopped walnuts

2 eggs beaten, add sugar, and beat again

2 cups brown or yellow sugar

2 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup melted butter

Directions

Use pasty recipe (here: https://www.umami.recipes/recipe/RXg0TZ8OZEdG78XX50wW) but use 1 cup of ap flour with 4 cup pastry flour

Cook for about 20 minutes or until filling is set. 350F.

Notes

Janet's note: This recipe is one I got from a friend who says it's good. It won't matter if you have more currants than raisins as long as it makes 1 1/3 cup. I usually pour boiling water over the raisins and currants and leave them sitting for awhile then drain them well. It softens them up more.
