For the Marinade:
2 lbs chicken wings
1/3 cup bourbon
1/4 cup pickle juice
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For Finishing:
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp honey
Directions
Prepare the Marinade:
In a large bowl, mix bourbon, pickle juice, garlic, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, onion powder, fresh thyme, and rosemary.
Marinate the Wings:
Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
Cook the Wings in the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Remove the wings from the marinade and pat them dry. Discard the marinade.
Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches to avoid overcrowding).
Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
Finish the Wings:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the hot sauce and honey. Once the wings are done cooking, toss them in the butter mixture.
Garnish:
Garnish the wings with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
