    Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Donuts

    For the Donuts:

    1 cup warm milk

    2 teaspoons active dry yeast

    2 tablespoons sugar

    2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

    ½ teaspoon salt

    2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

    1 large egg

    For the Filling:

    1 cup cream cheese, softened

    ½ cup powdered sugar

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    ½ cup strawberry jam

    For the Glaze:

    1 cup powdered sugar

    2 tablespoons milk

    ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instruktioner

    Prepare the Dough:

    In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm milk. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

    Add the flour, salt, melted butter, egg, and remaining sugar. Mix and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

    Form and Fry Donuts:

    On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about ½-inch thickness. Cut out donuts using a round cutter. Let them rise again for 15-20 minutes.

    Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C). Fry the donuts in batches, cooking each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

    Make the Filling:

    Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the strawberry jam.

    Fill the Donuts:

    Once the donuts have cooled, use a piping bag to fill each donut with the strawberry cheesecake mixture through a small hole in the side.

    Glaze the Donuts:

    In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the filled donuts.
