Longhorn Parmesan Crusted Chicken

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup butter, melted

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Prepare the Crust:

In a shallow bowl, combine parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Prepare the Chicken:

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.

Brush each chicken breast with olive oil to ensure a nice, crisp crust.

Coat the Chicken:

Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even coating on both sides.

Place the coated chicken breasts onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Chicken:

Drizzle the melted butter over the top of each chicken breast.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).

Garnish and Serve:

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for an added burst of flavor.
